They’ve done it all. Vanquished aliens. Stolen our hearts. Scored the winning points when it seemed all but impossible.

They’re celebrities. They’re the ones we see on the silver, computer and television screen. For most people, you see them and marvel at their stardom. You think, “They’re so different from me.” However, celebrities are just people too.

Since they’re flesh and blood like you, they need motivation for everything they do. When it comes to health and fitness, celebrities need motivation and hard work to achieve their goals. You may be surprised at their motivations and their words when it comes to working out. You may even be inspired by them to go do it yourself.

Cardio Is Key

Rhianna is best known for her hit pop songs and for her body. As such, she’s a super busy woman. Whether she’s touring the world belting out her tunes or starring in a Hollywood film, Rhianna’s schedule is pretty full. Without much time to think, let alone work out and exercise, Rhianna says the key is cardio.

Cardio is an important part of the exercise routine. Cardio exercises are what to do if you want to lose weight. They get your heart pumping and your blood flowing. One of the easiest ways to participate in cardio is to run, and luckily, you can run almost anywhere. It doesn’t cost a thing and doesn’t require much preparation.

Dance Dance Revolution

Sometimes, there are ways to exercise you wouldn’t even think of. For instance, some people jump over tires if they can’t afford to go to the gym. If you don’t have enough money for a gym membership, one of the easiest things you can do is turn on some music and dance. You can work out when you’re busy by simply moving and grooving.

Kate Hudson is a big fan of this. She says dancing is one of the most fun things you can do, and it’s healthy for your body. Hudson has even created a website that sells workout clothes. She’s heavily invested in dancing and exercise, as well as butt lifts. Lots of butt lifts.

Bring It All In

Being one of the biggest celebrities in the world, Oprah Winfrey has done it all. She’s conquered television, movies and even the magazine industry. With all her success, it’s got to be difficult to find time to exercise. How does she keep herself motivated, and what does she do? She’s got a great solution as to how to work out when you’re busy.

Oprah helps keep herself in shape by doing two things. First, she engages in cardio. A staple of any exercise routine, it’s good to have this in your arsenal. However, she also meditates. Meditation is a great way to calm yourself and to relax. It should be incorporated into any exercise routine.

Get Social!

The world is connected in millions of ways these days. Whether it be through our phones, our computers or just by physically talking to someone, the sense of community in the world is the highest its ever been. Since the tools for easier communication are at nearly everyone’s fingertips, exercising in a social way may be a great tip.

Although it sounds like a plug for his services, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg thinks exercising should be a social event. Although varying personalities will approach the act of exercise differently, Zuckerberg thinks just being social without exercise is great for a person.  Completing a workout when you’re busy doesn’t have to be done alone, so try and find a running buddy or a gym buddy. You never know how much fun you may have!

Sports Are Great

You don’t have to be good at sports to engage in them. Just picking up a basketball and dribbling it can burn some calories. Many famous business owners and CEOs, including Dallas Mavericks team owner Mark Cuban, play sports like basketball and tennis. Although this is one of the harder things to get done when busy, it’s an engaging way to stay fit.

Most sports require two people, so following this tip may require being social. That’s a good thing! Who knows, you may even make a new friend in the process.

As you can see, there’s no reason not to work out when you’re busy. No more excuses. If these busy celebrities can do it, so can you.

Thanks for these points – hopefully it inspires people to get moving and leave the excuses behind!
In addition to my full-time professional job and being a mother of an energetic 4-year-old, I’m also a part-time Zumba instructor. I enjoy several lessons you mentioned here: cardio and dance are the obvious ones, but also the social aspect of going to classes with people you know (or get to know as a result). I would add that getting your family involved helps as well, for motivation/accountability purposes as well as feeling and looking healthier!
