Bring out Your Inner Courage and Confidence


It’s easy to mask what’s happening in your life. By the same token, you can hide your courage and confidence not only from others, but yourself. Before you show others, you have to first find and bring it out for yourself. The power is within all of us, and if we don’t take action to unleash it, we won’t be able to fully feel it.


What does it take for someone to have inner strength?

Being able to ask for help when needed

Can love themselves – fully

Can say how they feel, even if it’s not always what the other person wants to hear


Understand these things don’t bloom within you overnight — you must build them up by working on yourself. When you start to make these changes, you’ll begin to feel as though you can conquer the world: powerful, proud and excited. Confidence is the willingness to listen to yourself, to believe your instincts and to trust your inner wisdom. Just like anything else in life, it’s a skill you must hone over time. You are more than capable of bringing out your inner courage and confidence.


How Can You Increase Your Inner Strengths and Confidence?


Everyone has innate skills that come naturally to them. Increasing inner strengths is something everyone can do, but not everyone has the confidence to pursue it. Think of it like a muscle you can tone. Achieving the strength and definition you want takes hours of diligent time and effort.



Starting with improving how you see yourself can not only increase your self-confidence, but it will help tremendously with being comfortable in your own skin. One tip for doing this taking a walk outside. You would be surprised how much spending time in nature can boost your mood and teach you about yourself.


Meditation is another way to change your outlook for the better. There are many positive benefits to meditation, including decreased stress and anxiety and enhanced awareness. You don’t have to invest in a singing bowl or Himalayan retreat, but clearing your mind and focusing on what’s happening in the moment will put you in touch with your inner self. Not only does meditation offer a time of relaxation, but an assurance that everything will be OK. Best of all? You can do it anywhere, anytime, without special equipment.


Bettering yourself every day can improve the way you address life — and whether you believe it or not, it’s worth a try.


Building Courage: How Do You Become Fearless?



Fears are part of life, and as much as I’d like a button to automatically remove them, such a thing doesn’t exist. Instead, building your self-courage in how you can conquer those fears and that you can is undeniably the way to knock those walls down. Fear kills every opportunity we wish we had the courage to pursue. Here are some tips on how to kill fear itself:

1. Face your fears head-on. Avoidance isn’t good for anyone. However, it’s something we tend to do with elements in life we would give anything not to do, like going to the dentist or giving a presentation in front of a large crowd. No matter how big or small the avoidance may be, avoiding fears can make matters worse by magnifying them. The more time you spend thinking about fear, it can and will be on your mind throughout the whole situation.

2. Think about the “after.” You know what I’m talking about — the feeling you get immediately after conquering an obstacle you waited so long to accomplish. More often than not, we feel incredibly elated after accomplishing a task we feared for so long. Instead of focusing on the situation itself and what could go wrong, think about that feeling you get when it’s over.That after feeling is…relief.That after feeling is…pride.That after feeling is…reassurance.

3. Talk things out. There is something about standing in front of a mirror and practicing a scenario that helps build confidence. Of course, there is a chance it won’t go exactly as you planned, but preparing yourself for what you want to say can help you approach the situation with more confidence of conquering it.Ask yourself these questions:What do I need to accomplish?What do I need to do to beat my fear?Have I done it before? If you have, think of that after feeling.


Listen to your “curiosity voice.” We all have one, and once we start to experiment with it, our curiosity becomes discovery. We continue to have the feeling of anticipation and excitement throughout the whole process. Once we do the “What if?” things, our urge to explore grows.


Remember to believe in yourself. This feeling of fear and discouragement comes from inside the mind. If you don’t believe and stick up for yourself, you may find it hard to not only get the courage, but hold onto it.


Not only is it empowering to remind yourself you are capable of achieving the self-confidence you deserve, but it’s also true your performance will increase. As many athletes and performers have noticed, once they gained the confidence of competing or auditioning for that lead role, they were able to achieve the success they had hoped for.


How Did You Find Confidence?



Comparing ourselves to others kills self-confidence. We constantly compare ourselves to friends, family, strangers — and, more commonly now because of social media — celebrities. What more could they need? They’re living the luxurious life we all dream of achieving. So many of us lose sight of the fact that they, too, are human just like us and struggle with the same issues.

Ellen DeGeneres: “I didn’t really come into my own power and understanding of who I am until probably the last ten years. I was very shy. I was insecure. I needed to feel liked and loved, which is why most people go into this business.”

George Clooney: “I had to stop going to auditions thinking, ‘Oh, I hope they like me.’ I had to go in thinking I was the answer to their problem.”

Oprah: “I’ve come to believe that each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint — and that the best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard and also allowing the energy of the universe to lead you.”

Justin Timberlake: “In case you’re a youngster, similar to [who] I used to be, and you’re at home watching TV and you’re being called abnormal, or you’re being called unique, or whatever the hell you’re being called, I’m here today to let you know, your critics don’t matter. Their words will blur. You won’t.”

Emma Watson: The “Harry Potter” star has admitted in several interviews that her low self-esteem made her uncomfortable when fans or friends would take pictures of her or she would see herself on the cover of a magazine.


When you’re struggling with your inner self and confidence, you are not alone. Finding it may feel like you’re going through a maze with no way out, but just like the celebrities above and millions of others around the world have discovered, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
